THE Eddy family has starred at the 2017 Victorian Country Cycling Championships in Harcourt on May 20.

The medal haul began with Jasmine who raced home in the under 15 girls to finish first.

Sam then followed it up with his own first in the under 17 men’s with his younger brother Pat finishing third.

The Eddy’s fourth podium finish came in the masters men’s three division as their father Chris completed a fantastic day to take the title against some tough competition.

And they weren’t the only successful riders from Echuca Moama Cycling Club at the weekend.

The ever reliable Chase Costello-Manning also raced in the under 17 men’s division and came away with a fifth placing, while club living legend Ray Hamilton took out the gold in the masters men’s eight.

Jesse Thomson finished in second place in the under 19 women’s with Edie Haley only seconds behind in third place.

Jamie Costello-Manning finished fourth in masters men’s three, and Neil Thomson came in fifth in the masters men’s five.

Elite men’s saw Trent Stevenson coming in third place in a strong field of Victoria’s best country riders, and in the elite women’s race Minda Murray was too strong, taking the title again from a cracking field.

Dave ‘Cookie’ Trounson was also riding in the masters men’s six and came away with a silver medal.

Riders competed over 23km, 55km or 80km on the day and congratulations are extended to all who took part on a fantastic performance.
