ECHUCA Pirates are on the lookout for some fresh talent as basketball season starts to get rolling.
With the Country Basketball League season to kick off next month, the club is calling on the town’s basketballers to get involved and join in training.
Echuca Basketball Association vice president Lisa Baker said people getting involved should expect a great, fun playing environment.
‘‘It’s very relaxed, we’re going to try and have a really good time but also win,’’ she said.
‘‘But we’re not too stressed about having to win. If anyone’s played before, maybe they’d want to get back involved.’’
The men’s team will be coached by Leo Tenace this season, the women’s by Simon Eishold.
Anyone over the age of 16 interested can attend training, which runs on Wednesday nights at 7.30pm at the Echuca Basketball Stadium.
The season is relatively brief, running from the middle of October until the end of January.
It all kicks off on October 15 with a clash against the Shepparton Gators.
