ECHUCA United is seeking redemption come the third round of action in the Murray Football Netball League on Saturday.

The Eagles are looking to break a four-game losing streak which extends back to round 17 in the previous season.

Last year’s grand finalists Numurkah stand in the way of that streak being broken. The last time the two played in the MFL, which was in 2017’s round 18, the score was 149-10 in favour of Numurkah.

United head coach Guy Campbell said the feeling around the group is positive ahead of the match.

‘‘We only showed in patches that we can play (against Cobram) . . . if we get the basics right then I’m sure we can really make an impact,’’ he said.

United has a clean bill of health ahead of the encounter and hopes to make inroads against the grand finalists.

■ THE United netballers have had a better start to the season, winning in the second round against Cobram on Saturday.

A grade coach Rohan Starkey said it was a vast improvement on the first week’s action against Moama.

‘‘It was good to get the first win on the board on the weekend and we’ll look to build on that,’’ he said.

‘‘Definitely we’re looking to go two in a row. Numurkah are always super competitive and have been a good team over the years. Knowing who they have in their team, it’s not going to be easy, but we’ll give it our best.’’

United will have two new faces vying for selection.

‘‘We have no injuries, but Remy Day didn’t play last week, and she’s back for us,’’ Starkey said.

‘‘We also have a new player, Ellie Ralph, she’s a shooter and mid-courter, and she’ll be a nice strong player for us.’’
