KATUNGA brought Mathoura back down to Earth with a thud as they won by 13 goals on Saturday.
The Swans beat the high flying Timbercutters 48-61 in Katunga, cutting down Mathoura’s chances of recording back to back wins.
Katunga sits sixth on the Picola and District Netball League ladder while the Timbercutters were forced down the ladder into the dogfight for the eighth and final playoff spot.
They sit ninth along with the two sides above them, Rennie and Katamatite, on a 3-4 record.
Next up is one of the clear front-runners of the league in Tocumwal at home.
Tocumwal have an impressive 8-1 record so far with the best points percentage in the league, more than 40 per cent clear of league leaders, the undefeated Blighty.
